The Guardian UK Travel – my photos and my guides and one troll

It never ceases to amaze me how hard comment-thread-trolls work to find faults. In this case the man had to read the entire article – troll scrolling past tour guides who charge $12 to get to one of the final guides mentioned, an expert guide who is highly educated, a professional Peruvian journalist whose English is so excellent he edits an English news publication – and then the troll complained about the article because he thought that one guide was too expensive. Vicky Baker, who wrote the story, handled the troll very well in the comments. I stayed away from the comments because I’ve learned not to feed the trolls and I wanted to say that the tightwad troll must be really hard-up for things to do in life if he’s spending his energy searching for excuses to cut-up a do-good story, and to complain that an expert guide is actually charging a living wage. http://www.guardian.co.uk/travel/2012/jun/19/world-top-10-local-travel-guides
